I see no need to make them account based because .................

makes no sense, and they don't help your char at all. Easy to max with money, and that's the point. They're a money sink. With the hom becoming account wide there's really no reason to make titles like this account wide.

I can only speak for myself here
Although GW isnt a role playing game I do tend to personalise my characters much as I do in other rpgs, therefore I feel some titles suit a character others do not.
If on the other hand your view is I am playing a game with different skills and these skills are used by a toon who is just as aspect of myself, then yes you would want all the titles account wide.
I happen to run a ritualist who I see as a drunk wheras my Paragon I do not see as a drunk.
As long as I can choose who gets what on my account then I am not bothered what happens with titles.
I am more concerned with how such things will be implemented in GW2 anyway.

But titles can't be seen unless you show them. So this would just ease a bit how can you customize the characters.

More account based = better for us multi-char players = I'd like it.

The titles that should be only one character based are the ones that:
- don't make sense when account wide. "Yeah, I only ate 20 sweets on this guy, only popped 3 poppers and beat half the game on this guy, but I actually have all the titles on this guy!"
The titles that should be account wide are the ones that an entire account has- such as allegiance- all your characters are alligned to Kurzick- or PvP titles since you PVP across all characters, your entire account fights for that title.
So whats this mean? If anything, Lucky/Unlucky should be moved to character based only...
Edit: And to further this, all you people complain about spending so much money on every title: Those titles are meant to be gold sinks, they take money out of the game. Plus, why would you want to get every title on every character? For one, that's just ridiculously stupid, but for two, most people normally- and I'm just generally speaking here- often do that on their main character.
Why have 4 main characters? "But I dont want to get stuck just playing one profession!1!"
Thats your choice, deal with it. The only reason you want that is for God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals- which goes back to the other thing- "the only reason it's character based is for the vain people to get GWAMM"- but the only reason it would be account based is for the people not actually willing to put in their time to get GWAMM, well, to get it.

Would I be right here in thinking you know nothing of role playing ? not judging here just asking.
No role player I ever met would accept that sort of scenario.
When you role up a character and develop them in a true role playing game you create a history for that character, he/she may well have secrets that are not revealed to others but they are there none the less.
Characters do not have hidden secrets that everybody in the game knows they have but they pretend not to have.
Having a title that you just do not show doesn't cut it why should I pretend I don't have a title to allow others to have the game changed their way.
I realise the GW isn't a role playing game if it was the online experience would be a lot better.
Although there would be more scamming as people played characters that where thieves and conmen.
Difficult to achieve in an online game where the victime are paying customers too.
I fully realise I am in the minority here "maybe a minority of 1 lol" but I will continue to advocate compromise in the this matter and see if we can achieve a solution amenable to all.
Pretty certain I have something with the idea of gold and silver titles, that way those who merely want the title to try out new classes and builds without having to redo all the titles on those characters get what they want and those who have slogged away getting titles on multiple characters have recognition for their achievements.
I am willing to compromise and have my characters end up with silver titles they do not show if that helps others achieve what they want.

Good idea considering how much gold these titles take... tho i say its unfair to those who put the time and effort into maxing these titles on the current system.
